There are several stages of construction

Design phase

The design phase can definitely be fun, thinking about the size, shape, and the amenities you’ve always dreamed of. But it also consists of measuring your lot, mapping off the property line, the topography, location of underground utilities, and taking into conservation of any easements.

Of course, there are a few decisions to make, such as will you incorporate a spa, fountain, what type of LED lighting, salt water or chlorine, and what about an outdoor kitchen. The possibilities are practically endless.

Excavation Phase

This is where the magic begins!  An excavator and front end loader are typically used to dig out the pool. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take long, usually just a couple of hours. The dirt can be used elsewhere in the landscape or hauled away.

Steel and Plumbing Phase

Steel rebar is used to reinforce the hole and provides structural support. Perfectly shaped into position. Then the plumbing, drain, cleaner lines, and skimmer are installed.

Gunite Phase

High quality concrete is installed with specialized forced air equipment. Then expert finishers carve and sculpt the gunite according to the design. It usually takes a few weeks for the concrete to cure. All the features, such as the deep end, benches, and islands are formed. It is fun to watch the pool take shape.

Tile and Electrical

The perimeter of the pool is adorned with tile. All the control systems, lighting, special features, and switches are connected..

The Deck is Installed

Whether it is natural stone, steamed concrete or pavers, they are installed to form the deck.

The Interior Finish is Applied

The interior of the pool is hand troughed and waterproofed. There are many finishes on the market today, tinted plaster, natural beauty of pebbles, the sparkle of glass beads, crushed quartz, and many more. Whichever one you choose, it is applied at this time.
